Declan Rice contract situation
So today the media are saying he has turned down an offer for the third time.

That raises 3 questions in my mind..

How much does he want?

How much does he deserve?

How much is the club offering?

Sort it out ffs

the question should have been, why is this bullshit being aired a week before the club's biggest game in decades, especially when those trio of cunts must know he won't be signing any deal until this season pans out and we have clarity about next season's involvement in european competition

Re: Declan Rice contract situation
What the media are saying is that THEY need him to go to Manchester United so that Ten Bob can build a team around him.

He's unlikely to move if we're in Europe again next season.

a decent press officer would put this to bed and silence the crap, instead you'll get even more horseshit from club glove puppets like C&H

Man Utd paid £89m for Pogba 5 yrs ago

I don’t think transfer fees have deflated since then, more so they have inflated.

I don’t think they all have that money and I don’t think Pogbas haul of 1 x league cup and 1 x europa cup in those 5 yrs would prove attractive to Rice.

If Rice leaves he goes to a top club. Why would he bother trying to help Man Utd recapture past glories when he can do that slog here without getting destroyed by Roy Keane in the media every week?

Re: Declan Rice contract situation
U could be right Mike based on the timing. Claret and Hugh had a story a few days back that he ( Rice) was more than happy to stay a while longer? Now old Hugh and co, like every news source these days, speculates a lot but he does apparently still have Gold giving him snippets of info? Whether Gold knows what day of the week it is will be open to debate I suppose but it sounded plausible and makes sense that Rice is happy to see his contract thru. Unless someone comes in with silly money and GSBK unzip and cannot resist. 150 million silly money I guess ?

Anyway the latest noise we s just that and like 90% of internet stories , it’s click bait IMHO

Transfer fees "have peaked and would definitely go no higher" when we sold Rio, I seem to remember some club's owner saying...

Re: Declan Rice contract situation
Funny this comes up as Ten Hag is confirmed incoming at ManU???

The end of the season is just around the corner, im not sure we will have offered a new contract before then, surely you want ALL the players focused on finishing the season not distracted or negotiating contracts etc via their agents!

Even if we have offered one, maybe Rice has said not now, can I please finish the season and try and win a Cup. Que some hack decides it’s a rejection to get more clicks to read his rag.

Odds on BOLLOCKS

Pointless speculation that has already been done to death. I'd rather just wait and see, but gut feel is he will be here next season.

Reports saying it was 200k a week. If that’s the case I doubt we could pay much more than that.

We can’t afford to lose him this summer with so many other incomings and outgoings needed.

Maybe he’s waiting to see if we win europa and gain champs league footie next year.

Re: Declan Rice contract situation
Declan rice won't leave West ham United this summer . And these these shit stirrers in the media know that damn well. Next summer he will unless we show proper ambition for a change .

Sven Roeder 9:52 Sat Apr 23
Re: Declan Rice contract situation
Dont imagine its really a question of the wages being offered.
He just wants to keep his options open to be able to play at the level he deserves ... ie Champions League, challenging for trophies

Understand he has 2 more seasons left on his contract and we have the option to add a further season.
No reason that we should entertain any offers this summer.... he was worth £100m last summer and that will have increased. And will increase even more by June 2023.
If he has any sense he wouldnt go to the shit show at Man U especially as they WON'T be in the Champions League.
He presumably would prefer to go to Chelsea and they may be more in a position to shovel some of their ill gotten gains our way the summer after this one.

Re: Declan Rice contract situation
He doesn’t seem the type to agitate for a move, I hope I’m right as those situations never end well.

Win the Europa league and he stays for sure. Easy peasey.

Re: Declan Rice contract situation
I have never understood why he would want to leave 🤷🏼‍♂️

First team regular.
Captain of his club.
First name on England team sheet ( probably )
Future England captain.
Plays every week.

No point in earning £250k a month if you are sitting on the bench and getting 20 minutes here and there. Plenty of examples of talented youngsters who chased the money and ended up damaging their career.

Lee Trundle 10:27 Sat Apr 23
Re: Declan Rice contract situation
He won't be sitting on the bench wherever he goes.

All 3 of the big clubs, and Man U, could be in for him as they all have a need for that kind of player.

Sven Roeder 10:34 Sat Apr 23
Re: Declan Rice contract situation
I guess when he goes to England he looks at the sad little beardy face of Harry Kane ..... occasional Champions league participant and serial trophy avoider..... the thoughts of moving are stirred.

This is why the end of this season and the summer are so crucial.
Win the Europa and qualify for the Champions league and the Dave's need to add quality .... if those happen I could see D Rice signing a new contract.

I think declan will go to real madrid,,

Re: Declan Rice contract situation
If he must go I'd rather he didnt go to another Premier league team.
If Real are getting M'Bappe on a free they will have a few spare bob up their sleeve given they offered PSG something like 180m Euros for him last summer.

Mike Oxsaw 10:42 Sat Apr 23
Re: Declan Rice contract situation
..."Dave's need to add quality"...

Yeah, right.

We win something and Sullivan will be sitting there with that smug "Job done" grin on his face and a cigar stuck in his north making him look like a dog having a shit.
